Throughout my time teaching, I have always been inspired by the ability of art to connect students to one another, to their communities and the world at large, even when there are developmental, cultural, language, or socioeconomic differences. I am a firm believer that the arts have no gender, age or prerequisites and that all are welcome and encouraged to create. 

I believe it is also a teacher’s responsibility to continue their own education and professional development to best serve a diverse student population. I look forward to continuing my own learning in making arts education accessible, just and inclusive.
